The Brentford vs Wolves live stream is a meeting between two midtable sides and it’s a match that the Bees could do with winning.

Brentford are on a poor run of three defeats in a row having lost to Brighton, Sheffield Utd and Aston Villa. Their position in midtable is relatively comfortable but a few more defeats and they could slip further towards the relegation trapdoor. A win against Wolves is excatly what is needed right now to ease any worries, but that could be a tricky task.

Wolves are still basking in the glow of their most recent victory over Chelsea. While the London-based side did mount a late fightback, it wasn’t enough to get anything from the game, and the Wolves faithful got to enjoy their Christmas with three hard-earned points. Currently, in 11th, the club’s objective for the second half of the season will be to break into the top 10, and that makes this game an important fixture for the visitors.

Brentford have had a shambolic run in the Premier League with three consecutive defeats derailing their confidence. They were defeated by a high-flying Aston Villa in their own backyard last week as they look to bounce back from this wretched streak.

Wolves, on the other hand, can leapfrog three teams above them if they manage to produce a win against Brentford. Mario Lemina and Matt Doherty scored a goal apiece as Wolves defeated Mauricio Pochettino's Chelsea in their last match.

Rico Henry and Aaron Hickey are two long-term absentees for Thoma Frank's men with Henry scheduled to return next season. Ben Mee will miss the clash against Wolves as he's suspended for three games after he was given the marching orders because of a reckless tackle against Aston Villa.

Mathias Jensen is tipped to return after recovering from his groin injury while Nathan Collins will be vying to face his former employees after healing from an ankle injury.

The trio of Boubacar Traore, Jean-Ricner Bellegarde, and Fabio Silva missed the Christmas delight against Chelsea due to their respective issues but some of the names could return to the matchday squad.

Craig Dawson is touted to start once again after shaking off a deep cut he picked up against Chelsea while Rayan Ait Nouri could be rested for the fixture after complaining of fatigue.

It's five defeats in their last six for the Bees, who can point to injuries and a tough run of fixtures, which has included games against Liverpool, Arsenal, Brighton & Hove Albion and Aston Villa since mid-November, as to why they've hit a rocky patch of late.

But with some extra rest as Saturday's game against Manchester City was postponed, and fixtures against Wolves, Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest to come, as well as talisman Ivan Toney returning from his suspension soon, Thomas Frank must see the next few weeks as an ideal chance to bounce back.

The visitors haven't been quite as lucky when it comes to the festive scheduling, having had their preparation time shortened after their home game against Chelsea was moved to Christmas Eve.

Indeed, Gary O'Neil may well feel as though luck has been against his Wolves side in 2023, with a number of high-profile refereeing mistakes going against them as well, and he will hope the new year can bring better fortunes.

Brentford faced Aston Villa at home in its last match and lost by a final score of 2-1. The Brentford side fell short while outshot by nine in the matchup, 13 to four. Keane William Lewis-Potter picked up his club’s only goal to lead the team offensively against Aston Villa.

In its last action on December 24, Wolverhampton defeated Chelsea FC 2-1 at home. Chelsea FC outshot Wolverhampton 16 to 15. Matt Doherty and Mario Rene Junior Lemina each scored a goal for Wolverhampton.
